Interpret and evaluate clinical data for the purpose determining diagnosis and clinical status. Respond to mental health consults request when necessary. Prescribe medications according to outpatient formulary, including substance use treatment using Suboxone. Formulate assessment and plan according to accepted protocols, treatment plans, or attending physician's treatment protocols, treatment plans or recommendations. Counsel patients on smoking, alcohol and/or other substance. Record data from clinic visit, including chief complaints, active problems, medications, physical findings and results of diagnostic tests. Report physical examinations and changes in patient status. Maintains clear, accurate, and current clinical records. Complete medical records per hospital regulations. Network with professional and/or health related groups in the community. Work as a mentor, preceptor, consultant and researcher. Work collaboratively with other health care professionals to accomplish patient, service and hospital goals. Other duties as assigned.
