Position Summary: The Physician Executive of Pediatric Behavioral Health is responsible for the strategy development, implementation, leadership and administration of the pediatric behavioral health continuum provided via the Behavioral Health Network and Mary Bridge Childrens Hospital & Health Center. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Physician Executive(s) of the Behavioral Health Network and Mary Bridge for the purposes of system alignment, quality, appropriate resource management and direct accountability. This position provides strong leadership, engages in collaborative problem solving and requires independent judgment and decision-making. The incumbent will have a primary report to the Chief Medical Officer of Behavioral Health and a secondary report to the Chief Medical Officer of Mary Bridge, and will have ongoing collaboration with the Behavioral Health President, COOs, CFO, and Nursing Executive in the optimization of financial and operational performance of areas of responsibility. The span of accountability for this position includes: Acute pediatric inpatient services, including Mary Bridge ED BH and consult-liaison services and the Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit; all ambulatory BH services provided via Mary Bridge Childrens Hospital and Health System, including pediatric collaborative care provided within primary care and special medical care settings across MultiCare; and pediatric behavioral health services provided at the BHN Lake Burien Campus. Additional leadership includes collaboration and providing influence to the outpatient pediatric behavioral health outpatient programs of Navos, Greater Lakes Mental Health, and MultiCare Behavioral Health.Behavioral Health Networks unique position as a regional center and network for the care of children, this position requires the development of critical relationships through broad ranging internal and external contacts. External contacts include, among others, include Kids Mental Health Pierce County, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), National Council for Mental Wellbeing (NatCon), Childrens Administration, DDA, child welfare, schools and mental health agencies, the Ohio Childrens Hospitals Solutions for Patient Safety (OCHSPS), Childrens Hospital Association (CHA), and Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department among others. Internal contacts include all levels of staff and management across BHN and MHS.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum five years of experience in a pediatric behavioral health Medical Director or similar leadership role Minimum of ten years clinical experience Minimum of five years supervisory experience Minimum of five years general leadership experience
