The Ohio University Psychology and Social Work Clinic is an outpatient behavioral health service clinic supported by the Psychology Department as a clinical training site for graduate student clinicians.
The clinic has been helping individuals, couples, and families at Ohio University and throughout the community since 1996. The clinic has an opening, with a flexible start date, for a Clinical Psychology Fellow. This position is designed to prepare fellows for licensure in psychology in preparation for a career as a health services psychologist.
The postdoctoral fellow will provide supervised psychological services, including individual and group psychotherapy, and outreach in an outpatient mental health clinic that serves as the Ohio University Clinical Psychology Training clinic. The fellow will predominantly serve Ohio University Honors Students through a liaison position with the University’s Honors Tutorial College. The fellow may also receive training in the provision of clinical and/or administrative supervision of doctoral students and/or experience in administrative responsibilities.
The fellows’ main responsibilities include provision of psychological services. Psychological services may include psychodiagnostic intake evaluations, individual and group psychotherapy, and preventative outreach programming. Psychological services will be provided through in-person and telehealth modalities.
The fellow may assist in administrative duties in the clinic, including but not limited to program development as the liaison to the Honors Tutorial College, administrative supervision, provision of umbrella supervision to doctoral student clinicians, management of consultative contracts, customer service satisfaction and other clinical research projects, and outreach to community partners.
The fellow will complete clinical documentation, program evaluation, and will have the opportunity to contribute to clinical research.
