The Palo Alto VA invites psychologists to apply to join an innovative outpatient palliative care presence, the site of an established inpatient hospice unit and consultation service.  The incumbent psychologist will play a critical role in the interdisciplinary outpatient Palliative Care team and may have the possibility of supporting the inpatient consult service and hospice unit as well. All clinical services, in coordination with the interdisciplinary team, will focus on addressing psychosocial stressors and psychiatric needs within the context of palliative and end-of-life care. The psychologist will provide individual psychotherapy, behavioral health interventions, caregiver/family support for Veterans receiving care at the Palo Alto VA.
